MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
What is the deal with Christians these days? Seriously? I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and praying lately. It’s time for us to stop talking and start doing. CHANGE PEOPLE’S LIVES!! God has the ability to change people’s lives, and while He doesn’t need us, He has chosen to use us. So what’s with us sitting on our butts doing nothing? We sit and talk and have meetings and worship God, but what about the brokenhearted? What about the people in our own lives who are desperate for God’s touch. You don’t need to travel a million miles away to be a missionary, there is a mission field everywhere you go. YES THIS IS THE JARGON OF THE DAY, BUT PAY ATTENTION!! You don’t need to change the lives of tons of people to be a good Christian. Find one person, befriend him, and be there for him no matter what, SHOW HIM GOD’S LOVE FOR HIM!! Worshiping God with other Christians is great and awesome, but what about the people in your schools, in your home school co-op, in your CHURCH who are dying inside? What about the people you know? What about the people you see every week who DON’T HAVE GOD!? Do we leave them in the wayside because they’re not “needy Africans” or “oppressed Chinese?” Just because someone lives in America, just because you see someone every week, just because someone seems normal on the outside, does not mean that he is fine. It does not guarantee that he isn’t hurting.

What is your passion??
What do you care about?? Everyone has issues that they want to fix. For some it’s abortion, for some it’s modern day slavery, what is YOUR passion?? How is God leading you to bind up the broken hearted?? It doesn’t have to be a big publicly endorsed thing. It can be something as small as babysitting some kids while their parents go out to have a great night together. HOW CAN YOU SERVE PEOPLE?? We are selfish, selfish people. Especially here in America, we have EVERYTHING handed to us on a silver platter, but that is NOT THE POINT!! The point is BEING A SERVANT!! As Jesus was when He washed his disciples’ feet. And even more so, when JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS, HE WAS SERVING US!!!! Do you think that Jesus, had He been any of the people you know today, if He hadn’t been God and man, do you honestly believe that He would have suffered that much for billions of people who had not even been born yet? Find someone, even if it’s just one person and, SERVE HIM!!

Youth ministry ain’t what it used to be.
I was talking with my sister this past weekend about some things that had been talked about in Chapel at her college. They had talked about youth ministry, and how you didn’t have to be a pastor, or in charge of a youth group, or anything like that to be a youth minister. You can be a youth minister just by being one person’s friend. By being there for him when he needs someone, cause everyone, even the people who pretend to be the toughest need help. Pay attention. Find someone that you can love. Find someone to help, but don’t take them on grudgingly, help them because you truly love them. Be there for them sincerely.

WE MUST BE THE DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD! IT’S TIME TO STAND UP AND CHANGE! RELIGION ISN’T ENOUGH! TAKE A CHANCE, GET HURT, GET DIRTY, GET BLOODY, AND GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND HELP SOMEONE ELSE!!!!
