Drumroll please.....

Here it is folks, the thing you've all been waiting for... or, some of you have been waiting for... DANAE TOPHAT PART 11!!!!

Abi pulled out of Acasia, she was panting heavily, tears spilled down her cheeks. She desperately reached out her mind. Nothing. She felt nothing. There was no one there. She could not find even one mind. She was alone, in complete darkness. She began to sob. After a few minutes, she felt- or was it heard?- footsteps coming nearer and nearer to her. She quickly stopped crying and scrubbed her eyes with the backs of her hands.
“Abi?” Tanner’s voice asked, “What’s wrong?” He looked down and saw Acasia. “Abi, who’s that?”
“My… sister.” Abi struggled to keep her voice calm, “I had to kill her.” She bit hard on her lip, tears coming to her eyes again. Tanner said nothing, but gently put his hand on her arm, when Abi did not stop crying, he wrapped both arms around her in a comforting hug.

Danae led her ever growing group of followers through the corridors of the Central Command building. They met often with guards, and made their way through them as they could. The smoke in the halls was becoming thicker, and it was becoming harder for Danae to breathe. They were in a skirmish with one group of guards, when she collapsed, unable to breathe at all.

Danae woke up, groggy, in a small, hospital like room. What? Where? Oh no! Josh it! She thought in terror, a door slid open and in walked the slim, tall form of Cassandra Martinet. She laughed softly.
“Danae Catarine Maarplot.” She said slowly, “So we meet again. Now, why are you here? Did you really think your little rambling band of followers can stop me? Really?” Danae said nothing.
“Oh come now,” Cassandra continued, “Are you going to be sulky?” Cassandra pouted, “Really Dannie, I may call you Dannie, mayn’t I? Of course I may. Really Dannie, there’s no need to fear me, I can be your friend, your very. Best. Friend. If only you’d let me. You could be the second in command, and inherit my place when I die. Don’t you want that? Ultimate power? To rule the world?” Danae remained silent.
“Very well, if that will not tempt you, then maybe riches will. Riches beyond your wildest imagination, with them you could buy anything that you wanted, even my death. Even… Your friend Tophat back.” With this, Danae tensed visibly.
“Ah…” Cassandra smiled, her golden eyes sparkling, “I’ve hit a nerve, haven’t I? Yes, with Tophat. What would you do if I said he was mine. Forever. I’ve done away with what you, for some reason hold so precious. Purity.” Cassandra snorted the word, “that abominable thing you hold so dear. Gone, taken.” She laughed, those terrible, echoing bells. “Gone, forever, he will never be the same. He. Is. MINE.”
“No.” Danae’s voice was cold, “No, it’s not true.”
“Oh, but it is.” Cassandra sneered at Danae, her golden eyes level with Danae’s silver grey ones. Danae stood up, cold fire now burned in her eyes, “You didn’t.” she countered.
“Oh?” Cassandra reached into a fold in her tunic and pulled out a shining palm sized object. “What are you willing to risk on it? Your life?” she said, moving her thumb over the red button on it.
“Not without a fight!” Danae lunged at Cassandra, grabbing her wrists. Danae twisted the other girl’s left wrist until the phaser dropped out of her hand. Cassandra’s eyes glowed with anger.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she demanded
“Fighting for what is mine!”
The girls struggled for what seemed like forever, Danae was tiring, Cassandra did not seem to be. Cassandra managed to shove Danae off of her, Danae hit her head sharply against the wall, she was dazed. Cassandra took this moment to move to the wall, she pressed a button and a small door slid open revealing a compartment with a long, sharp blade in it. She came over to Danae, leering.
“Now I have you.” She hissed, her eyes wide and glowing, a line of blood flowing from her a split lip. “I have been longing for this day. You have been a thorn in my side for far too long, Danae Maarplot.” She lunged down with the blade, Danae rolled out of the way just in time, the blade hit the metal floor with a hollow bang. Cassandra growled like a crazed animal. Cassandra lunged again, Danae kicked at her legs, she went sprawling. The blade slid into her chest, blood spilled out onto her white tunic, Cassandra watched in horror as it did not stain her perfect clothes red, but black. Spreading out from her heart, dyeing her entire dress deeply black.
“No!! No! No! This cannot be happening!” Cassandra’s words were drowned into a wordless scream, then nothingness. She never moved again.
Danae watched all this through hazy eyes. She let her head fall back against the wall, and all faded to nothingness.
